After earning a BS in biochemistry at the University of Virginia, Stephen pursued a PhD in neuroscience at the University of Washington, he then continued doing research as a postdoctoral fellow. He has spent a total of 12 years in the neuroscience research world studying neurodegenerative disease and the neuroscience of eating behaviour and obesity. He is the author of the excellent book, The Hungry Brain

During this episode of the podcast, we discuss a brief history of obesity. We also talk about how the brain is so closely connected with affluent worlds rising waist line
